چکیده
In the current article, in presence of thermal and diffusion processes, equations governing elastic materials through thermodiffusion are obtained. The Moore–Gibson–Thompson (MGT) equation modifies defines for conduction mass that occur solids. We apply boundary integral equations for the first time to the two-dimensional scattering of time-harmonic waves from a smooth obstacle embedded in a continuously-graded unbounded medium. In the case we solve, the square of the wavenumber (refractive index) varies linearly in one coordinate, i.e. (∆ + E + x2)u(x1, x2) = 0 where E is a constant; this models quantum particles of fixed energy in a...

Here V1 and V2 are smooth and real-valued potentials which go to 0 at infinity. Thus for any h ∈]0, 1] the operator Hh is a non-symmetric (unless V2 = 0) Schrödinger operator with domain H(R). The energy Eh will be chosen in such a way that for h > 0 small enough, δ > 1 2 and Sh ∈ L(R) the equation (1.1) has a unique outgoing solution uh ∈ L2,−δ(Rn). Here we denote by L(R) the weighted space L ...
متن کاملNumerical Solution to a Linearized KdV Equation on Unbounded Domain
Exact absorbing boundary conditions for a linearized KdV equation are derived in this paper. Applying these boundary conditions at artificial boundary points yields an initial-boundary value problem defined only on a finite interval. A dual-Petrov-Galerkin scheme is proposed for numerical approximation. Fast evaluation method is developed to deal with convolutions involved in the exact absorbin...
متن کاملRapid Solution of the Wave Equation in Unbounded Domains
In this paper we propose and analyze a new, fast method for the numerical solution of time domain boundary integral formulations of the wave equation. We employ Lubich’s convolution quadrature method for the time discretization and a Galerkin boundary element method for the spatial discretization. The coefficient matrix of the arising system of linear equations is a triangular block Toeplitz ma...
